Ceiling Fan Squeaks
If you are simply unable to access the oil hole then you will need to remove the fan from the ceiling which is a bit more complicated.
Ceiling fan squeaks. We suggest using a hunter control system to dim your ceiling fan lights. If a new ceiling fan begins to squeak right away it may be a sign of poor workmanship or mechanical issues. For example a rattling sound may mean loose parts.
Turn the fan on to check. If it wobbles parts of the ceiling fan were not screwed properly or the blades are not balanced. Please contact us for help.
If you haven t done this for a few months or longer you may need to. The screws connecting the fan to the ceiling mount can start to wiggle loose over time which can make the fan squeak. Occasionally screws can break.
If your ceiling fan has a control system with a receiver a defective receiver can create a humming noise. Different fan noises can be a clue as to what the problem may be. A squeaky ceiling fan is annoying but could also indicate that bigger problems are brewing.

With a lightly damp rag clean dirt and debris off the ceiling fan housing and canopy starting at the highest point. Clean your ceiling fan blades removing dirt and grime. Make sure your ceiling fan needs removal.
