Fix Ceiling Hole
Wipe excess spackling with a clean cloth.
Fix ceiling hole. Be careful to avoid scratching the ceiling underneath. Spray difficult areas again to loosen them. Some walls are so bad that the best fix is to tear them out and install new drywall.
It needs to be about 6 7 longer than the hole. We wrapped a piece of fabric around the board to hold it down while attaching it to the ceiling with screws. Mist water over the surrounding ceiling texture in an area about 24 in.
Use screws or adhesive to attach the scrap piece of wood to the framing piece. Place a piece of scrap wood up in the hole. Spackling and sanding.
Put on safety goggles and a dust mask. Fill the hole with vinyl spackling using a putty knife. Fill a garden sprayer with plain water.
Making drywall patches for large holes. Allow the spackling to dry completely. Some cracks keep coming back no matter how well you repair them.
