Vaulted Ceiling With Trusses
There are variations of this design to create numerous unique ceilings.
Vaulted ceiling with trusses. Click on the truss to select it and move it so that the exterior edge of the truss is aligned with the exterior edge of the framing layer. To create scissor trusses with both the ceiling and roof planes in place you can now create roof trusses. A scissors truss creates a vaulted ceiling in the same framing time as standard roof trusses that produces a bland flat ceiling.
Click and drag to draw a roof truss perpendicular to the ridge line of the roof and ceiling planes. Converting a conventional flat roof with trusses to a vaulted ceiling will create an open spacious looking living space. Parallel chord trusses allow for greater interior clearance in buildings.
Select build framing roof truss from the menu. This design element makes a room appear larger and provides more natural light. The simplest way to get a vaulted ceiling is by setting vaulted roof trusses.
