Slow Ceiling Fan
The other two are electrical.
Slow ceiling fan. Ceiling fans that operate at speeds slower than normal can have one of four problems. Almost all ceiling fans that have more than 4 speeds 6 or 7 speeds have the lowest set lower than the average ceiling fan. Remove the blades of the ceiling fan if they are removable.
There are in fact quite a few ceiling fans where the rpm range is wider higher and lower than typical ceiling fans. To replace capacitor follow the instructions below. Is your fan running slow.
A problem with the bearings a blade out of balance or a bad capacitor. The process is simple and quick. Slowing with age there are three main culprits for a slowing fan.
Loss of bearing lubrication and poor blade balance. Either a bad capacitor or damaged winding. Ceiling fans can wear over time and therefore require routine maintenance.
Two of these issues are mechanical. Watch this video as this will help you troubleshoot and repair it under 10. Jim z s example illustrates the case well.
If your ceiling fan starts making a lot of noise the oil reservoir may be too low for optimal operation. A faulty capacitor may cause a ceiling fan to run slowly or quit running altogether. So a very slow slow speed option would be infinitely more useful here is my response to this suggestion.
